But I had a brother was stationed in the Seattle/ Tacoma Washington area in the army, and on his visits would share all of the hard rock/ metal scene with me, and loudness was a band from japan, that had a few stateside hits, with "like hell" and " crazy nights", very talented and totally overlooked...
Dokken was so cool in the mid to late 80's with the first 4 albums, breaking the chains-1983 tooth and nail- 1984 - under lock and key- 1985- back for the attack -1987, things started to deteriorate. Internally , by the time beast from the east- 1989- came out, never was the same after, without George lynch... They seemed to just be a one hit wonder hair band from the mid eighties, with the mega popular song, " turn up the radio" , but autograph released 3-4 albums, my favorite song is" dance all night" from the loud and clear album, great video, when MTV played this kind of stuff... Y&t have always been around, and kind of been overlooked by a lot of the industry and fans, they had a pretty good career going on in the late70's and through the 80's , in elementary school, I had the open fire and black tiger tapes( I stole from one of my brothers, while he was in the army) I think they are from the Bay Area , where journey, night ranger came from... Dangerous toys had an unique sound, and a powerhouse singer in Jason McMaster , that fuckin grunge thing happened in the early. 90's and kind of fucked them over... This is great white, and the classic lineup featuring, mark Kendall, Audie des row, Michael laddie, tony Montana, and jack Russell , they had lots of great songs and albums, and are very underrated ... Kix have been around since the early 80's or maybe earlier, they are best known for the ballad "don't close your eyes" , I saw them once opening for ratt and Britny fox , they had a 30 minute set, and they were fuckin great, Steve whiteman, the singer, has a very unique and powerful voice, they are from Hagerstown ,md, and they still play some dates every year... Ratt came on the scene in 1984, I guess their most successful song is "round and round" but they had quite a few album and video hits, this is a picture of the classic lineup, robin Crosby , warren demartini, Juan croucier, bobby blotzer, and Stephen pearcy. |
